VoIP (or Voice over Internet Protocol) is a great cutting edge technology to make and receive phone calls using your Internet connection instead of your standard PSTN phone line. SnipTel converts your phone voice calls into compressed data that is then transmitted through your Internet connection sent to the destination. Date is then converted back to Voice on the other end and call received just like the regular phone call.
Can I use my computer when I'm on the SnipTel phone?
Yes, using SnipTel service doesn't affect your computer usage if you have Broadband Internet. You can continue to surf the Internet or send and receive email without any problem while you�re having phone conversation. We're utilizing the Internet connection and not through your computer.
How is the voice clarity?
SnipTel provides phone service with Superior voice quality and improved to the level of a landline phone and sometimes even superior to it. However, it depends upon the speed of your broadband connection. You may consult other users of the provider.
Is this SnipTel service available in small cities and villages?
Yes. Our aim is to create a network that reaches any corner of the World. Physical location doesn't matter; it can be a metro city or suburban or a village. As long as one can connect to Internet (Dial-up or Broadband), SnipTel phone service works well without any issues. Our intention is not only to expand the business, but to close the gap between a developed city and developing cities and villages in terms of communication infrastructure facilities.
Can I use this SnipTel device anywhere in the World?
Yes. You can enjoy the freedom of carrying the device and plug & play with any Broadband connections, both from DSL or Cable Modem.
Do I need computer to subscribe SnipTel phone service?
Yes, we just need the Internet Connection (Dial-up or Broadband). Computer is required to apply for SnipTel phone service only.
How do I make a call outside SnipTel Network?
Once your IP phone is powered and connected with Internet, pick up your phone and start dialing just like any other phone dialing (011+Country Code+Number). The person you're calling doesn't need to have SniptTel IP phone or an Internet connection on their side. They just need a regular phone (landline or cell phone). The phone at the other end rings just like calling from a traditional phone.
